Pastor Bill Long

Pastor Bill Long

Senior Pastor

Pastor Bill Long has served at SDBC since 2004. He and his wife, Carol, have 4 grown sons, 4 daughters-in-law and 12 grandchildren (5 have graduated from CCS). Pastor Long graduated from Manahath School of Theology in 1985 with a BA in Pastoral Ministries, did pulpit supply for area churches in Pennsylvania, and worked as a Christian counselor at the Altoona Christian Counseling Center. A verse that is precious to him is 2 Chronicles 16:9: For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.

Pastor Greg Wells

Pastor Greg Wells

Youth Pastor

Pastor Greg Wells, and his wife Peggy, have been members of SDBC since 2020.  They have three girls Megan, Madison and Morgan.  He has served at CCS since 2018. Greg has ministered to young people for over 30 years in different capacities: AWANAs, Children’s Church, Young Adult/College & Career teacher, CCS teacher, Patriot Athletic Coach and Youth Pastor. Greg holds a BS from Baptist Bible College, a MS in accounting from Strayer University and a FACCS certificate in MS Humanities.  One of Greg’s favorite verses is 1 Kings 2:3; Keep the charge of the Lord your God, walk in HIs ways, keep His statutes, His commandments, His precepts, and His testimonies.

Music Director

Mrs. Long has served at SDBC and CCS since 2004. She and her husband Bill, have four children: Dexter, Darryl, Danny and David; and 12 grandchildren (5 have graduated from CCS) and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Long works at CCS as an IT Consultant and is the Music Director for the SDBC Choir. A verse that is precious to her is Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.

Guadalupe Haskins Lupe

Guadalupe Haskins Lupe

Church Secretary

Mrs. Haskins has served as Secretary to the Senior Pastor at South Dade Baptist Church since February 2019. She has attended South Dade Baptist Church since 2015, and married long-time SDBC Church member, Chris Haskins, in 2016.
Mrs. Haskins has 30 years of customer service experience. She has two children, Nicholas and Joshua.
A few verses that are precious to her:

Psalm 118:6: The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Mr. Morrissey has served at CCS since 2014. He has attended South Dade Baptist Church since 1998. He and his wife, Terri, have two children: John Jr. and Sarah, both CCS graduates and valedictorians. Mr. Morrissey holds a BA from Florida International University in Elementary Education, and a MS in Mathematics Education from Florida State University. He is certified with the State of Florida in Elementary Education, Grades 1-6. A verse that guides his life is 1 Corinthians 10:31: Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Deacon Mike has been a member of SDBC since March of 2004. He has been serving the Lord, the Church and Colonial Christian School ministries since October of 2015. Prior to joining SDBC he served his country for 26 years in the United States Air Force, retiring at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. During his service he graduated from the USAF Community College with two Associate Degree’s in the field of Industrial Security and Air Field Management. He is currently enrolled in Liberty College and Seminary as a student in the Bachelor’s degree program of Biblical Studies. A verse that is near and dear to him is John 15:13; Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Nathan Bush

Deacon Nathan Bush has served at South Dade Baptist Church from 1990-1999, and from 2017 to present. He holds a BA in Church Ministries with a minor in Bible from Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. In his first “tour” at SDBC, he taught Fourth Graders at “South Dade Baptist Church School” from 1990 until Hurricane Andrew in 1992. He taught Sunday School to 2nd graders and Children’s Church from 1991 until 1999. He served as a deacon from around 1995 to 1999. He also is a proud U. S. Air Force Veteran, having served from 1976 to 1982. Mr. Bush is married to his wife, Connie and they have 3 adult children: Steven, Joanna, and Rebeca. He has been a deacon since his return in 2017 and currently teaches an adult Sunday School class. One verse that has especially helped Deacon Bush is Philippians 1:6 – “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
